Hollywood star Tom Hanks donates blood for coronavirus vaccine development

Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson tested positive for coronavirus in March and they have now fully recovered.

The "Forest Gump" actor and his wife have also been told that they are immune to the virus.

In her first interview since she tested positive, Wilson said they have donated their blood for the development of coronavirus vaccine.

The donation is part of a study to look into the possibility of whether their antibodies can help develop a vaccine for COVID-19.

The couple contracted coronavirus in March.

She said they are waiting for the results of whether their antibodies would be helpful in the creation of a vaccine.

Discussing her symptoms, she said she was "very tired, extremely achy, uncomfortable,". She also lost her sense of taste and smell.

Tom Hanks, however, did not have a high fever did not lose his sense of taste and smell.
