One awarded death sentence in murder case

CHAKWAL: District and Sessions Judge Muqarab Khan Niazi on Wednesday awarded death sentence to an accused involved in a murder case of Kallar Kahar Police Station and acquitted his woman co-accused by giving benefit of doubt.

According to prosecution, accused Muhammad Aslam, resident of Khairpur village, along with his sister-in-law Salma Shaheen and mother-in-law Azhra Shaheen killed Shahid Nawaz, resident of Bhara Kahu, Islamabad, on 15-01-2009 over a domestic dispute.

The accused also snatched a car of deceased, Rs 10,000 in cash and a mobile phone.
