FAISALABAD: District Coordination Officer (DCO) Naseem Sadiq has urged upon the Ulema of all sects to maintain religious harmony and unity among their ranks for peaceful holding of different religious events during the holy month of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak.
He was presiding over a meeting of District Core Committee held here on Saturday to review the security arrangement made for Yaum-e-Ali, Mahafil-e-Shabeena, Etikaf, Khatm-ul-Quran, Juma-tul-Wida and Eid congregations.
The DCO said that stringent security arrangements were being finalized for the safety of the religious events. However, the management of the worship places should also provide details of their volunteer security guards so that no flaw could be left in tight security arrangements.
Appreciating the exemplary role of Ulema for promoting the religious harmony, tolerance and brotherhood, the DCO said that last 10 days of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak have extraordinary importance regarding the religious events so we should remain high alert to foil the nefarious designs of the anti social elements.
The DCO stressed the need to keep tight security arrangements till the dispersion of participants of the Majalis on the eve of Yaum-e-Ali.
