RAWALPINDI: District Coordination Officer (DCO) directed the Assistant Commissioners (ACs) to take action against the Qabza Mafia to get release private as well as government lands.
He said no one would be allowed to grab the public and government lands at any cost.
He said those people lands which were grabbed by Qabza Mafia should give applications in this respect to the Additional Collector Revenue Rawalpindi so as to launch action and get their lands be released.
District Coordination Officer (DCO) Saqib Zafar has also givendirections to all Assistant Commissioners of District Rawalpindi tohold open kuthceries at Union Council level to redress the publiccomplaints about the officials of Revenue department at their doorsteps. The ACs should also hold these kutcheries at Town level.
He issued these directions while presiding over a meeting of ACs ofall tehsils of the district in his office. Additional Collector TalatMehmud Gondal, AC Rawalpindi Saif Anwar Jappah, AC Taxila Arif Rahim,AC Kotli Sattian Miss Lubna, AC Kahuta Dr. Rafiq, AC Gujar Khan RabNawaz and AC Murree Dr. Umar Jehnagir were present in the meeting.
DCO also directed that surprise visits should be conducted on PatwarOffices of every Patwar circle to check the attendance of Patwaris andthat they should be bound to be present in their patwar circles regularly.
He further directed that patwaris should also be bound to prepare land record of the people themselves personally and not through the private people. The ACs should also check that patwaris are not involved in corruption and action might be taken against such revenueofficials. While conducting surprise visits of patwar circles, ACsshould check the record and give their notes on the visitors' book.
