RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi Traffic police is a corruption free department as there is no corruption case against traffic wardens said Senior Traffic Police Officer (STPO), Superintendent Police (SP) Athar Ismail Amjad.

Addressing a "Darbar" of traffic wardens here at Raza Complex, Police Line No.1 he said "We all should make collective efforts so that traffic problems of the city could be resolved and the citizens could be provided all possible facilities on the city roads".

He said negligence on part of traffic wardens would not be tolerated and directed them to behave with the citizens in polite and respectful way on the roads.

He also directed to all traffic wardens to educate and guide the citizens regarding the traffic rules and regulations, which should be followed during driving on the roads, with affection and well-mannered attitude.

He made it clear on all the traffic wardens that citizens should not be disturbed without reason and should only be asked to stop if they commit a traffic offence particularly during Ramazan.

He said traffic wardens should perform their duties with dedication and commitment so that a better image about the force could be created among masses. (APP)
