HYDERABAD: Out of Rs. 583 million, allocated by the government for the development of Hyderabad district under Annaul Development Programme 2011-2012, Rs. 200 are being spent by the District Government for completion of new development projects in different parts of the district.

This was informed by the EDO Finance, Aijaz-ul-Hassan in a meeting presided over by DCO Ahmed Bux Narejo here on Thursday. He informed that Rs. 695 million were allocated in ADP 2010-2011, of which 65 percent funds were utilized for completion of development schemes in the district while remaining 35 percent allocations lapsed.

The DCO maintained that the government would not tolerate any negligence in timely completion of the development schemes and warned that strict action would be initiated against those found guilty of misappropriation and corruption.

The EDO Works and Services informed the meeting about the pace of work on ongoing development projects.
