DCO directs for cleansing of venues of Eidgahs

KARACHI: District Coordination Officer (DCO) Karachi Mohammad Hussain Syed has directed all town administrators to ensure cleanliness at all venues of Eid Prayers (Eidgahs) and remove the garbage-containers from surroundings of the Eidgahs.

Addressing a meeting of the 18 town administrators in Civic Centers Committee Room, he directed the town administrators to improve their performance as the basic responsibility of cleanliness falls on their shoulders, said a statement.

Expressing displeasure that garbage were still laying on major city corridors, directed various town administrations to remove the garbage. He directed all those towns which have more sanitation problems to work on war footing basis and remove all waste in three shifts.

He said that he and Administrator Karachi Fazlur Rehman will personally visit the city and action will be taken against the town administrators if they found cleanliness condition unsatisfactory. (APP)
