Eid shopping gears up

HYDERABAD: The people of Hyderabad are giving final touches to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr with traditional zeal, enthusiasm and festivity like other parts of the country.

Eid shopping reached at peak with great rush witnessed in almost all shopping areas of Hyderabad including Resham Bazaar, Shahi Bazaar, Cantonment, Qasimabad shopping center, Gul Center and Latifabad Unit No-8 where the people were seen busy in Eid shopping.

In Hyderabad, rush is seen for the purchase of the cloths, footwear, cosmetics, and many other items.

Some shopkeepers said on Saturday that the sales were picking up since the 20th of Ramadan. The buyers complained of price increase.

As Eid-ul-Fitr is approaching fast, buying spree is noticed at all the shops at different parts in the city. Boutique shops have become more attractive places for those from the upper and middle income group customers for Eid shopping.

In view of the increasing Eid rush in the markets and shopping centers the district administration has beefed up the security measures to avert any untoward situation.

The police personnel have been deployed in the city to maintain law and order during Ramazan and upcoming Eid. (APP)
