RAWALPINDI:: The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) will remain alert in Rawalpindi city during Eid Days and emergency vehicles will be deputed at all Eid prayer sites and sensitive areas along with trained emergency staff to provide immediate pre-hospital emergency cover if needed.
In Rawalpindi more than 400 rescuers will remain on special duties in district control room, emergency rescue stations, with 14 equipped emergency ambulances, 12 fire vehicles, two Water Bowzers and four special vehicles.
Special mobile posts will also be established for effectively providing medical cover to the public gatherings.
Rescue posts will be established at Chandni Chowk Murree Road, Pirwadhai More, Civil Lines Station, Katchari Chowk, Bahria Town G.T. Road, GPO Chowk Sadder, Faizabad Flyover, Liaqat Bagh, Nawaz Shareef Park, Jinnah Park and Ayyub Park.
The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122), Director General, Dr. Rizwan Naseer has reviewed the emergency arrangements for Eid days in all districts of Punjab including Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Murree, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Sahiwal, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Muzafargarh, Rajanpur, Mianwali, Pakpattan, Kasur, Gujrat, Bahawalnagar, Jehlum, Attock, Khanewal, Vehari, Chakwal, Okara, Hafizabad, Sheikhupura, Lodhran, Nankana Sahib, Khushab, Mandibaha-ud-din, Narowal, Layyah and Bhakkar.
Emergency Officers including trained doctors will supervise the arrangements during Eid days.
The leaves of the rescuers have been restricted in these cities and they have been assigned special emergency duties to effectively cover large Eid prayer gatherings and to provide the emergency medical, rescue and fire fighting services to citizens during Eid holidays.(APP)
