MULTAN: Chairman Punjab Public Accounts Committee MPA Syed Abdul Qadir Gilani said on Saturday that the under execution PM's development package would benefit people of South Punjab.

While presiding over a meeting to review pace of progress on the Multan segment of PM's uplift package for South Punjab, he said that five out of six flyovers had been built in the city while southern and northern bypasses would help streamline inter-city traffic in a big way.

He said development projects like Multan-Khanewal section of Motorway, cadet college, airport upgradation, Mosa Pak Shaheed bridge, Head Muhammad Wala, Nishtar Ghat and other schemes were clear manifestation of democratically elected PPP-led government's sincerity to end deprivation of people of South Punjab. He directed officials to ensure quality of work and material and complete schemes in a specified period.

PM's Media Coordinator Khawaja Rizwan Alam said the PPP-led government believed in taking practical steps to serve the people of under-developed areas.

On this occasion, MPA Syed Nazim Hussain Shah, Malik Muhammad Aamir Dogar, Commissioner Khuram Ali Agha, DCO ZahidZaman Akhtar, PPP District President Khalid Haneef Lodhi, City President Khursheed Khan, PLF Bushra Naqvi and other officials of the district administration were also present.
