9 power pilferers caught from Tariqabad Subdivision

FAISALABAD: Nine power pilferers were caught redhanded from the area of Subdivision Tariq Abad.

According to a spokesman of the Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO), the special task force under the supervision of Assistant Manager Operation Tariqabad Muhammad Saeed Chaudhary conducted raids in various parts of the subdivision and caught nine persons red handed while stealing electricity from main lines by using different modes.

The pilferers included Qamar Shehzad resident of Street No.5 MehmoodAbad, Muhammad Saleem of Street No.1 HajveriTown, Dr. Abdul Lateefof Gulistan Colony, Ashfaq Ahmad of Mehmood Abad No.2, Rana Zulfiqar Ali ofStreet No.5 Tariqabad, Rasheed Ahmad of Street No.9 Tariqabad, Allah Yar ofStreet No.1 Hajveri Town and Muhammad Rafiq of Street No.2 Nigehban Pura.

The spokesman said that electricity supply meters of these consumers have been removed in addition to getting cases registered against them and issuing detection bills of over 25000 units worth Rs.265,000 as fine.

An amount of Rs 100,000 was recovered from them while efforts were being made for the recovery of remaining amount, he added.
