Seven killed in rain related incidents

HYDERABAD: At least seven people lost their lives in rain related incidents as rain continued in different parts of the country, Geo News reported.

Low lying areas were inundated and breaches were developed in various canals.

According to reports, rains continued in different areas of Khairpur district inundating low lying areas. In village Imam Bux Khaskheli a child was killed and four people including two women were injured when a roof of mud house collapsed.

Six other people including women and children lost their lives and 14 others injured in rain related incidents in Dadu, Naushero Feroz, Nawabshah, Mirpurkhas and Tando Adam.

Cotton crops standing on thousands of acres of land have also been damaged besides dates worth millions of rupees.

Heavy downpour was also recorded in Multan, Rahimyar Khan, Sadiqabad, Jaffarabad, Chaman and other areas.
