ISLAMABAD: Monsoon, that is swamping the region for now, is forecast to lay its wet hands on parts of country for at least five more days, Meteorology Department said Thursady.
Widespread rain/thundershower with isolated heavy fall is expected in Sindh and eastern Balochistan during next 24 hours.
According to Met Office, strong monsoon currents in southern parts of the country may cause urban flash flooding in Sindh and eastern Balochistan.
Isolated rain/ thundershower is likely in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Bahawalpur, D.G Khan, Hazara, Malakand divisions and Kashmir.
Moreover, scattered rain/ thundershower is expected in rest of Punjab, upper KPK and Kashmir and at isolated places in Gilgit-Baltistan during next 24 hours.
More rains/thundershower with isolated heavy falls are expected in Sindh, eastern Balochistan, southern Punjab and Kashmir during the next 48 hours.
Widespread rain/thundershower with isolated heavy falls occurred in Sindh eastern Balochistan, while isolated rain with thundershower hit Punjab and Kashmir during last 24 hours.
Here is a detail of the rainfall during last 24 hours across the country: Bahawalnagar 94 millimeter, Khanpur 87, Jhelum 70, Sargodha 63, Rahaim Yar Khan 56, Bahawalpur 39, Mangla 37, Bala Kot 31, Larkana 26, Rohri 21, Kotli 20, Nawabshah 19, Rawalpindi 16, Badin 15, Sahiwal 14, Sukkur/Sialkot 12, Karachi/Pind Eidan 10, Sibbi 9, Lahore 8, and Multan 6 millimeters.
