MIRPURKHAS: The intermittent rain has inundated sewerage system, roads and streets as well as low lying areas in all towns and villages across the district.
A large number of houses had collapsed. Due to continuous rainfall, TMAs of the district could not drain out the stagnant rainwater as a result, different kinds of diseases including Diarrhea, Malaria, skin, stomach, gastro, allergy etc were spreading.
Knee deep water has accumulated on the roads and streets and various localities have been submerged in 3 to 5 feet deep water in the city including Basheerabad, Rajar colony, Khad plot, Lalchandabad, Gharibabad, Toorabad, Dholanabad, Jamnadas colony, Mehmoodabad, Ishtiaque town, village Mir Sher Mohammad Talpure, Pak colony etc.
In the city hundreds of people have been shifted to government school buildings after rain water entered into their houses. They are waiting for relief and ration and other essential daily use commodities.
Owing to continue downpour stagnant water level in taluka Digri, Jhuddo, Kot Ghulam Mohammad, Mirpurkhas and Hussain Bux Mari was increasing. (APP)
