ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister Khursheed Shah will head the special parliamentary committee on Karachi and Quetta, Geo News reported Tuesday. The first meeting of the committee was held on Tuesday.

The committee includes 17 members - five from the PPP, four from PML-N, three from PML-Q, two from MQM and one each from the JUI, ANP and PML-F.

During the first meeting, a sub-committee was formed comprising of Zahid Hamid and Riaz Pirzada which was assigned the task of making rules for the committee.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, Khursheed Shah said advice would be sought from the law minister before discussion on Karachi.
