ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Wednesday indicated chances of scattered rain and thundershower in Islamabad and Rawalpindi divisions during next 24 hours. The areas including Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan ,Sahiwal, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sargodha and Gujranwala will also receive scattered rain and thundershower.

According to meteorological analysis, seasonal low lies over north Balochistan. Strong Monsoon currents are still continuously penetrating in southern parts of the country especially Sindh and south Punjab. While a shallow trough of westerly wave is present over northern area. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, isolated rain and thundershower is expected in D.I.Khan, Kohat, Peshawar and Hazara divisions during next 24 hours.

However in Sindh, widespread rain and thundershower with heavy falls at times is expected especially in Hyderabad and Mirpur Khas divisions during 24 hours. In Balochistan, scattered rain/thundershower with isolated heavy falls is expected in eastern Balochistan especially in Sibbi, Nasirabad and Kalat divisions during next 24 hours. Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan will also receive scattered rain/thundershower during next 24 hours.
