ISLAMABAD: PML-N leader Mohammad Siddiqul Farooq has appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry to make the press conference of Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza of 28th August as part of the suo moto notice.
I appeal to make the press conference of Zulfiqar Mirza as part of suo moto notice because it reveals formidable facts about integrity of Pakistan and the law and order situation of Karachi, said Farooq while addressing a press conference here on Monday.
Siddiqul Farooq said the press conference of the former Sindh home minister is like an affidavit about the role of federal and provincial governments and political parties as far as law and order situation in Karachi and integrity of the country is concerned.
He said the whole nation is perturbed over the statement of Inspector General Police Sindh before the full bench of the Supreme Court and also over the letter written to the British prime minister against the ISI.
He said the apex court should also make the 1994 petition No.46/1994 filed by the MQM against Benazir Bhutto s Federal Government, the reply of the Federation and the stance taken by the Sindh Democrats Group in the apex court as part of the case and then give its verdict.
To a question he said that President Asif Ali Zardari has been using reconciliation policy with the MQM to prolong his rule, enhance his bank balance and increase problems for the masses.
