KARACHI: MQM lawyer in the suo moto Karachi violence case, Farogh Nassem said Thursday that across the board accountability is required and his client (MQM) has told him that they have zero tolerance for criminal activity, Geo News reported.
Speaking to the media outside the Supreme Court Karachi Registry, Naseem said Rangers pickets are required in violence-hit areas of Karachi such as Kati Pahari and Qasba Colony.
Earlier during proceedings of the case, Nassem said that according to section 3 of article 184 of the constitution, the Supreme Court could only issue guidelines. He added that the SC has to figure out how investigations into torture would be conducted so that they could yield positive results.
