PESHAWAR: Provincial Housing Minister, Malik Amjad Khan Afridi Friday said that Rs140 million electricity schemes will be completed in Kohat district as provision of civic facilities to the people was their basic right.
Addressing a public gathering in village Kote after inaugurating electricity scheme, the minister said that Rs80 million power projects were completed from the funds of Senator Malik Abbas Khan Afridi and Rs60 million from the funds granted by the KPK Chief Minister.
The minister said that inauguration of Khushal Garh bridge, connecting KPK with Punjab was a one man show and a referendum which he has won, adding the Prime Minister has accepted all the demands of his constituency and granted rupees 700 million for carrying out gas projects and Rs500 million for construction of roads.
He said that in Kote village a primary school, 8 electricity transformers, 80 electric polls, 8 kilometers carpeted road and other necessary projects have been completed and in next month the area would be provided with the facility of natural gas. (APP)
