Search operation near Maskan Chowrangi, 2 held

KARACHI: Rangers and police jointly carried out search operation in residential apartments near Maskan Chowrangi, apprehending two people; meanwhile police also arrested a suspected extortionist in Korangi area.

According to the sources, Rangers and police detained two suspects during search operation in Good Luck Apartment and Pioneer Arcade near Maskan Chowrangi area of Gulshan e Iqbal on late Sunday night. Suspects have been taken to unidentified location.

Earlier on Sunday, heavy contingent of Rangers personnel carried out 12-hour long search operation in Lyari area in which eight people were arrested while Kalashnikoves, rifles, repeater, pistol, revolver and cameras were also recovered from their possession.

According to SSP East Ahsan Umar, three accused of extortion Shabir, Shahid and Younis were arrested along with weapons. Police has registered the case.
