KARACHI: Director General of Meteorological Department, Arif Mehmood said that lower Sindh is likely to receive more rains while light shower is also expected in Karachi in the next two days, Geo News reported.

According to met department, many areas in lower Sindh including Badin, Mirpurkhas, Umerkot, Thatta and Hyderabad districts will receive heavy downpour along with thunderstorm in the next 24 hours.

Fresh session of rains will also bring scattered showers to parts of southern Punjab, eastern Balochistan and Kashmir while heavy rainfall is likely in upper Punjab‚ East Balochistan, Peshawar and Hazara division.

Scattered rain/thundershower with isolated heavy falls occurred in lower Sindh during the past twenty-four hours. However, isolated rain/thundershower also occurred in Peshawar division‚ Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Saddar area of Karachi received 38mm of rain, Faisal Base 20mm, North Karachi 8mm,.Nazimabad 6mm, Badin 22mm, Malamjabba 6mm and Parachinar 5mm.
