ISLAMABAD: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) said Monday that 209 people were killed in Sindh during the floods while over five million had been affected, Geo News reported.

The NDMA briefed the special flood relief committee formed by Prime Minister Gilani. During the briefing, NDMA revealed that 1.7 million acres of crops had been destroyed in the floods.

Speaking to the media, NDMA chairman Dr Zaffar Iqbal Qadir said that immediate relief was required in flood affected areas and China had announced $4.7 million in relief.
