Gilani, Shujaat discuss current political situation

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani Wednesday held the consultative meeting with President Pakistan Muslim League-Q Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain to discuss the political situation in the country amid ongoing political relations with coalition partners.

Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, who was accompanied by his younger brother and Minister For Human Resources Development Chaudhry Wajhaat Hussain discussed the flood situation in Sindh and law and order situation in Karachi.

Prime Minister Gilani and Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain were unanimous for bringing all the criminals involved in the target killings in Karachi to justice irrespective of their political affiliation. The Prime Minister also briefed Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain about his recent visit to Iran.

Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain assured the Prime Minister that his party would support all measures of the federal government to provide relief to the rain affected. Earlier, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain along with Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani offered special prayers for mitigating the sufferings of the rain victims.

Senior leader of the ANP and Railway Minister Haji Ghulam Ahmed Bilour, Minister for SAFRON Engineer Shaukatullah, and leader of the BNP (Awami) Mir Israrullah Zehri were also presented during the special prayers.
