RAWALPINDI: Mumtaz Qadri, the man accused of killing former governor Punjab Salman Taseer pleaded guilty in an anti-terrorism court (ATC) Saturday, Geo News reported.

The case was heard at the Adiala Jail and Qadri recorded his statement in front of the court. In his statement, Qadri admitted to having killed Salman Taseer and also stated the reasons behind the killing.

The hearing of the case was adjourned till September 24.
