KARACHI: A close relative of Sindh High Court (SHC) Chief Justice Musheer Alam has been kidnapped from Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of Karachi Saturday.

According to sources, 16-year-old Faizan Ahmed son of Ishtiaq, who is a close relative of SHC chief justice, was abducted along with his car from Gulshan-e-Iqbal.

Additional IG Karachi Saud Mirza told that Faizan left home at 9 am on Saturday to get breakfast and was kidnapped by three unknown men. He was driving a car bearing the number AKM 476. An FIR has been registered by his father in Aziz Bhatti police station.

Mirza told that as soon as they got the news, CPLC, CIA, SIU, CID, ACLC and other police departments have been mobilized and all the entry and exit points of the city have been sealed to monitor movement.

Command and control and traffic police close circuit camera records have been obtained and statements of the eye witnesses are being recorded.

According to police chief, investigations are underway to determine whether the kidnap was targeted or not.

IG Sindh Wajid Durrani met with the SHC CJ Musheer Alam and presented a detailed report of the incident.

Karachi police chief has confirmed the news that the victim is CJ’s relative.
