LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority has set up a dengue diagnostic and treatment centre at LDA's Township office to provide free medical facilities to the patients.

LDA Director General Abdul Jabbar Shaheen on Saturday inaugurated the centre.

The centre has been established at a cost of two million rupees where facility of free blood testing has been extended to the general public. The centre was functioning from 8 am to 8 pm and test report was being provided in only ten minutes, said Dr. Nisar Ahmad, Senior Medical Officer, LDA while briefing the DG.

He further said that besides appointing paramedical staff comprising of two laboratory technicians, two lab assistants and two nurses, five beds have also been provided in the centre for treatment of patients suffering from dengue fever.
