HYDERABAD: The activists of Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz JSQM staged the sit-in and blocked national highway at Hyderabad bypass on Saturday to lodge protest against the arrest of their party chairman Bashir Khan Qureshi.
The sit-in continued for two hours during which hundreds of vehicles stuck up on both sides. The activists led by Hanif Burdi, Akash Malah, Sarwar Thebo and others raised slogans for release of Bashir Khan.
It may be noted that JSQM had called off strike, which was to be observed for two days, due to floods in Sindh and had announced that sit-in for 2-hours from 12noon to 2p.m would be staged at national highway across the province.
