PM directs release of Rs. 1.53 billion for flood victims

HYDERABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has directed the Ministry of Finance to release Rs1.53 billion immediately to meet the urgent requirements of the relief operation for the flood victims.

The Prime Minister was presiding over a meeting held here late Saturday night at the Circuit House.

The Prime Minister said this amount is in addition to 500 million rupees released earlier.

The meeting was attended by Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, memebers of the Prime Minister Flood Relief Committee Makhdoom Amin Fahim, Makhdoom Shahabuddin, Naveed Qamar, Zamurd Khan, and Chairman National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).
