PESHAWAR: Military jets bombarded terrorist hideouts in Shawal tehsil of North Waziristan tribal agency on Friday, killing at least 17 suspected militants.
According to security sources, the aerial strikes targeted three militant dens in Shawal district, also destroying four vehicles belonging to the terrorists.
The hideouts were also completely destroyed in the aerial raids, said the security sources.
The airstrikes comes as part of operation Zarb-e-Azb and the latest push by the military to flush out terrorists from the restive tribal agencies on Pakistan's northwestern borders with Afghanistan.
