ISLAMABAD: Shehzad town police Islamabad on Wednesday busted an inter-provincial gang involved in robberies and street crimes besides recovering weapons, bike and snatched mobile phones from
their possession, a police spokesman said.

Following the complaints of various robbery incidents, SP (Rural)
Faisal Bashir Memon under the supervision of DSP Khursheed Khan
constituted special team including SHO Shehzad town police station
Yunus Gujar to arrest culprits involved in these crime incidents.

This special team succeeded in arresting four criminals red-handed when they were planning to strike in the area of Pindorian. These nabbed persons were identified as Hameed Ullah s/o Abdul Raheem resident of Khayaban Dho Naju Rawalpindi, Nadeem resident of Zia Masjid area Islamabad, Farrukh Iftikhar s/o Iftikhar resident of Kotli Satiyan Rawalpindi, Sajid Zaman s/o Mir Zaman resident of Pindorian Islamabad.

They confessed their involvement in several dacoities in various areas
of Rawalpindi and Islamabad and also snatching mobile phones from
women and other people. Police team recovered three pistols, a
motorbike used in various crime incidents and also five mobile phones
from their possession.

Meanwhile, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Ishaq from Bhara Kau police station nabbed an accused Abdullah for having one Kalashnikov and ten rounds.

Shalimar police apprehended a bootlegger Sadiq and recovered ten cans of beer from him.

Sabzi Mandi police arrested an accused Muhammad Zahid for having 30 bore pistol while Shehzad town police nabbed Tahir Mehmud for having 30 bore pistol. (APP)
