FAISALABAD: A proclaimed offender along with his accomplices allegedly abducted family members of Station House Officer (SHO) Sitiana from Ayub Colony Faisalabad, the area of Jhang Bazaar police station, here on Thursday.
According to police, proclaimed offender Shehzad Bhatti of Chak No.37-GB- having head money Rs1.8 million due to his involvement in a number of murders, robbery, kidnapping and other heinous crimes - fled after an encounter with police headed by SHO Sitiana Rana Mazharul Haq on last Wednesday night.
Police arrested family members of PO Shehzad and directed him for surrender but the outlaw abducted SHO's wife Saima (29), daughter Mehvish (2) and brother Rana Fazal.
Police spokesman told that PO Shehzad Bhatti along with eight accomplices in Elite Force uniforms came in two cars in Ayub Colony about 4:30 p.m. They knocked at door of the house of SHO Rana Mazhar and delivered a massage that police high-ups have sent some gifts on excellent performance of SHO Rana Mazharul Haq.
When Rana Fazal, brother of the SHO, opened the door, they forced their entry into the house and abducted SHO's wife, daughter and brother at gunpoint.
Police have registered a case. (APP)
