HYDERABAD: The nursing graduates taking internship at Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS) will continue working as honorarily until Sindh government sanctions budget for payment of stipend to them.

According to LUMHS spokesman Dr Saroop Bhatia, this was decided in the 23rd meeting of the university's Academic Council on Friday in Jamshoro.

Meanwhile, the meeting decided that BPS 17 and above officers would make a contribution for relief of the flood victims.

The academic council also changed the month of holding annual academic convocation and announced November 2011 for holding of the same.

Prof Dr Muneer Junejo was nominated as the chairman of convocation committee.

The university will also organize an international symposium in the month of March 2012.
