LAHORE: Jamaat e Islami Secretary General Liaqat Baloch, while lauding Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and his team, has said that he is making commendable efforts for controlling dengue virus.

Baloch expressed these views during a meeting with the Chief Minister Punjab, here on Monday.

The Chief Minister said, the Punjab government had launched a vigorous campaign against dengue virus in which participation of all segments of society had been ensured. Moreover, he said, all out measures were being taken for the provision of best medical facilities to dengue patients in hospitals.

Shahbaz said medicines and machinery for controlling dengue virus were being imported while field hospitals were also being established. He said private laboratories and hospitals had also been included in this noble cause. He also appreciated the cooperation of Surriya Azim Hospital which was under the administrative control of Jamaat e Islami and was charging Rs 50for dengue test as compared to other private laboratories which were charging a fee of Rs 90.
