ISLAMABAD: Passengers are facing problems due to lack of facilities at bus stands of twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

Hundreds of passengers who visit Pirwadhai and Faizabad everyday, but there are no proper waiting rooms or any other facility at these
stands.

Most of the passengers, particularly females, face this problem and continue to complain about the non-existence of such facility. There is no proper waiting room, especially for women at the bus stands.

Officials of Rawalpindi General Bus stand claimed that several illegal bus stands are being run, adding that several other bus stands have been working on different routes quite unfairly and these disrupt smooth flow of traffic.

They said that the authorities should take action against the illegal bus stations, which would redress the problems of commuters and transporters.

He said the general bus stand had enough adequate space to accommodate the public transport vehicles. (APP)
