LAHORE: Seven days have passed and the man accused of raping a teenage girl in Shahkot has still not been arrested, Geo News reported Saturday. The family of the girl has threatened to commit suicide if they do not receive justice.

The family of the girl is also receiving threats from the accused and her younger brother has been confined to their home because of taunting.

After this story was broadcast on Geo News, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif took notice and ordered that the accused be arrested within 24 hours.

According to DPO Nankana Sahab, three accused in the case have been arrested while bail was granted to the main accused.

The sources told that the police have taken no steps for the arrest of the accused and they are roaming freely.
