Arms smuggling bid foiled in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: Police foiled an arms smuggling bid in the city, Geo News reported. The arms were being smuggled from Peshawar to Punjab and a smuggler has been arrested.

According to the police, a pickup with Peshawar licence plates was stopped and searched and arms were recovered. The driver of the car said that the arms were being smuggled to Punjab.

18 rifles, 19 pistols and 20,000 bullets were recovered from the car.
