Robbers kill filling station manager

MULTAN: A petrol pump manager was shot dead by two veiled dacoits on resistance here at Chungi No 22 on Monday.

SP Cantt Dr Shahzad Asif told APP that the manager of a petrol pump on Shahrah-e-Rashid,identified as Khalil Ahmed (65) of Okara, was going to deposit Rs 1.6 million in bank when two veiled dacoits on a motorcycle intercepted him near Chungi No 22.

They took him hostage at gunpoint and tried to snatch the cash from him.

The dacoits opened fire at Khalil Ahmed as he tried to resist them. He died on the spot. The dacoits left the cash and fled.

Police reached the spot and shifted the body to Nishtar Hospital for autopsy.

Police have registered a case.
