QUETTA: Eight workers of NGO, American Refugee Committee (ARC) have been released by the kidnappers.

"Armed men had kidnapped our eight employees from Pishin district located some 50 kilometers off Quetta some two months back who now had been released," said Muhammad Shafiq, an official of the NGO. The released workers were being brought to Quetta, he added. He denied commenting whether the abducted workers got release after payment of ransom.

It is pertinent to mention here that gunmen had kidnapped these eight ARC employees when they, after delivering relief items to Afghan refugees in Pishin, were heading towards to the provincial capital of the province. Later, they were shifted to Wazirstan where they were kept hostage for about two months.
