LAHORE: Dengue fever claimed four more lives on Wednesday, which brought the death toll to 164 in the Punjab and 150 in provincial metropolis.

According to sources in hospitals, out of six deaths reported in the city, Khalid, 36, a resident of Taj Poora, Umar Farooq, 20, a resident of Muridkey, Bilal, 50, a resident of Green Town, and Mujahid Kan, 50, a resident of Swat, died of the virus at Meo Hospital today.

Besides, 270 patients were tested dengue positive in Lahore, taking the tally of patients to 12,040 in the capital and 13,677 in the province.
