QUETTA: The security has been heightened in the city after repeated incidents of targeted killings of Hazara community and more than 70 people were held during raids, Geo News reported.
On Tuesday, gunmen attacked a bus carrying Hazara members, killing 14 people in the second major sectarian attack to hit the area in two weeks.
On September 20, gunmen killed 26 pilgrims after ordering them off their bus in Mastung, a district 50 kilometres (30 miles) south of Quetta.
The Police, FC and Balochistan Constabulary personnel are on patrol in the area while the respective SHOs have been instructed to keep an eye on movements of the Hazara community people and provide security cover to them.
Meanwhile, law enforcement agencies have rounded up more than 70 suspects in connection with the sectarian attack from Sariab Road, Chakki Shahwani, Kharotabad, Western Bypass and adjoining areas.
