PPP, a champion of reconciliation: Shah

KARACHI: Senior People’s Party leader Khurshid Shah has said that we are the champions of reconciliation and not the otherwise, Geo News reported.

He was talking to newsmen in Karachi.

Though it's written on the wall but he was too careful with his words, as he did not confirm MQM’s comeback to the government then and there.

To a question, he played down the issue of ministries saying it was not at all a thorn in PPP-MQM ties.

“This is too small an issue, we have bigger fish to fry”, he said

Shah added we have always championed reconciliation, which is evident from our reaching out to PML-Q and others.

MQM has always been a part of our alliance and shall remain so, he said, adding politics is all about evolving new bonds and renewing old ties so allies come and go, it doesn’t make any difference.

He concluded his talk on a note of hope saying the meetings underway will bear fruit.
