Tribute to Amy Winehouse during KFW 2011

KARACHI: Nadya Mistry, a Paris trained designer, showed her collection entitled 'Amy' at the second day of the third Karachi Fashion Week 2011.

This collection buoyed by spring/ summer 2012 trends paid homage to the late singer Amy Winehouse.

Inspired by her life and her songs such as Back to Black, Love is a Losing Game, with basic black and white palette dominating the entire collection and a bridal skirt thrown in for good measure, had some brilliant pieces that reflected on the late singer’s ability to enchant all those she crossed paths with.

Nadya Mistry began her career in 1997 and since then has become an edgy and avant garde presence in the Pakistani Fashion Industry.
