JAKARTA: An earthquake measuring 6.0 magnitude has struck in the ocean south of the Indonesian island of Bali, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said Thursday, but there was no tsunami warning.

The quake was relatively deep at 61.3 kilometres (38.1 miles), and struck some 130 kilometres south-southwest of Bali's capital Denpasar, the US seismologists said.

The Hawaii-based Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said there was no current warning in effect. (AFP)
