ISLAMABAD: Members of the PML-N and MQM came face to face and stopped just short of exchanging blows on the floor of the National Assembly which echoed with slogans chanted by these MNAs against each other's parties on Thursday, Geo News reported.
The incident took place when opposition leader Chaudhry Nisar lashed out at the MQM during his address.
Following Nisar’s address PML-N MNAs Abid Sher Ali and Hanif Abbasi exchanged profanities with MQM MNAs Sajid Ahmed and Iqbal Ahmed Ali.
PML-N and MQM members proceeded towards each other as if they were about to physically fight when senior members of both parties intervened. During this time NA proceedings were suspended for ten minutes.
