QUETTA: Doctor injured in firing in the provincial capital at night between Friday and Saturday succumbed to his injuries at Karachi based hospital on Saturday.
"Dr Mazar Khan riding in his vehicle was on his way from hospital to his house and when he reached Masjid road, unknown gunmen riding bike opened fire at his car," police said adding that resultantly the doctor received bullet wounds.
The victim was rushed to the hospital. According to doctors, he received eight bullets.
He was shifted to Karachi based hospital in aroplane of Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Aslam Raisani where he succumbed to his wounds.
Receiving information of his death, doctors at government hospitals in Quetta left their work.
Pakistan Medical Association has called in its meeting on October 17 to review security threats to doctors in Balochistan particularly in Quetta city.
PMA also demanded the government to ensure arrest of killers of Dr.
