Resident Editor Jang laid to rest

QUETTA: Resident editor of Daily Jang Quetta Akhtar Mirza, who died of heart failure on early Sunday morning, was laid to rest here in Cantonment Graveyard here.

A large number of journalists, political leaders, government officials and people from different walks of life attended his funeral.

Meanwhile, office-bearers and members of Quetta Press Club, Balochistan Union of Journalists and Editors Council expressed grief and sorrow over the death of Akhtar Mirza.

They prayed Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear loss.

They widely eulogized the journalistic services of the deceased and said his services would be remembered for long.
