3 dead as overcrowded boat capsizes

SAHIWAL: At least three passengers lost their lives while 14 were still missing after a boat capsized in Lower Bari Doab Canal in Sahiwal, Geo News reported. Three Dead bodies have been recovered from the canal and 15 others successfully made their way to the shore.

The rescue teams are searching for others.

Rescue sources told boat, packed with passengers beyond its capacity, overturned in the canal. Majority of the passengers were college students.
