LAHORE: Railways employees have started protest demonstrations leading to the stoppage of several trains, Geo News reported.

Frustrated and enraged employees did not allow any railway engines to come out of the engine shed by lying down in front of them. This resulted in the stoppage of the Iqbal Express, Awam Express, Tezgam and several other trains.

Rail Mazdoor Ittehad president, Sarfaraz Khan said employees were not getting their salaries nor were their pensioners being paid. He said employees could not call off the strike on mere appeasement and false promises.
