Police directed to keep close vigil on markets of sacrificial animals

Karachi, Oct 18: Inspector General Police (IGP) Sindh has directed police on Tuesday to chalk out comprehensive security plan with the cooperation of Pakistan Rangers Sindh for central markets of sacrificial animals in the province, particularly Karachi.He ordered to deploy personnel of special branch and Bomb Disposal Squad along with policemen besides ensuring random checking at main road leading to the markets.

He asked for strict security arrangements in order to protect life and property of citizens. He also ordered to deploy Anti-Car Lifting Units’ cops so as to check car theft.IG instructed to deploy plainclothes inside the markets alongside increased picketing, snap checking and patrolling.

He told the police not to overlook suburban area and roads with low traffic flow and to ensure the presence of mobiles vans and vehicles of respective Superintendent Police (SP) Zones and Station House Officers (SHO) for increased patrolling.He emphasized on communication and exchange of information among police and other law enforcement agencies to maintain better law and order situation.He also directed to make comprehensive traffic plans for the main cattle markets in order to maintain traffic flow. He said proper steps must be taken to inform the public about these traffic plans.-PPI
