MULTAN: Incharge PM's camp office in Multan MPA Syed Ahmad Mujtaba Gilani said on Thursday that South Punjabwould become a new province as per aspirations of the people.
Addressing the luncheon ceremony hosted in his honour by a religio-political figure Mehdi Abbas in Jalalpur Pirwala, AhmadMujtaba Gilani said that the development promises made by PrimeMinister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani were being fulfilled across the country despite the problems the incumbent government inheritedafter taking over the charge.
He added that many development initiatives have beencompleted and rest would be completed in specified period.
He said that South Punjab as separate province would end the sense of deprivation among the people of this area and would enable them avail the facilities being enjoyed by other developed areas of Punjab.
MPA Jahanzeb Waran, and local PPP leaders Mohammad AkramKannu, Mazhar Khan Pathan, Ayub Ghallu, Jahangir Iqbal Pathan and Diwan Taqi Shah thanked the Prime Mimnister for releasing funds for roads and Sui gas facility in the area.
